Spring is here

Wow Pittsburgh is so beautiful! Even on a foggy day. You can see the west end bridge peaking through the morning fog and downtown Pittsburgh where the three rivers meet in the background.

Jason Aldean goes PLATINUM

Congrats to Jason Aldean. His self-titled debut release, which includes one of my favorites "Hicktown," written by John Rich, "Why" and the sweet country song about a farmer who just rides his tractor everyday and prays that his crops and children grow "Amarillo Sky" has been certified platinum. Meaning he has sold over one MILLION copies.

"The past 12 months has been a crazy year of firsts," Jason said. "My first award nominations, first No. 1 single and now my first platinum album. It's something every new artist dreams about."

This past week Jason was nominated for "Song of the Year" and "Video of the Year" by the Academy of Country Music.

Jason's has a new cd titled "Relentless" coming out May 29. "Johnny Cash" is the first release and Froggy listeners have been calling my show requesting it.

We had Jason at Saddle Ridge last year and he rocked the house. He really brings alot of energy and great songs to the stage. He will be opening for Rascal Flatts at the Post Gazette Pavillion with Froggy in August.

It's done. Anna Nicole Smith has been buried. Finally. The former playboy model had to wait weeks while money grubbing friends and family fought over her body so that they could make money from media outlets.

It makes sense to me now that Anna Nicole would marry an elderly billionaire. Now that I have seen her own mother profit from her daughters funeral. It runs in the family.

I was really surprised to hear that country singer Joe Nichols sang at the funeral in the Bahamas. They met a couple years back at the Grand Ole Opry. According to Anna's boyfriend Stern she was a big fan of Nichols.

Now we get to hear the men argue about who is the babies daddy for the next few months. For all the wrong reasons. In my opinion.
